New Horizon College of Engineering is an Autonomous college affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & University Grants Commission (UGC). It is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade & National Board of Accreditation (NBA). New Horizon College of Engineering is located in the heart of the IT capital of India,Bangalore. The college campus is situated in the IT corridor of Bangalore surrounded by MNCs and IT giants such as Intel, Accenture, Capgemini, ARM,Symphony, Wipro, Nokia, JP Morgan and Cisco to name a few.

Automobile Engineering is one of the most challenging careers with a wide scope. This branch deals with the designing, developing, manufacturing, testing, repairing and servicing of automobiles such as cars, trucks etc., and the related sub systems. The automotive industry has been growing in recent times due to the increasing demand for vehicles and the job prospects have also increased rapidly.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is currently the hot topic and probably the most seeked out discipline in both Industry and Academics. Most of the IT companies like Microsoft, Google, AMAZON, Tesla, NVIDIA many more have adapted to this concept in their system.Artificial Intelligence software, by the leading artificial intelligence companies, is a fast-growing market within computer science that focuses on creating and providing intelligent problem-solving solutions. A.I. software can include speech recognition, problem-solving, learning and planning that can aid or even replace human engagement in a process.
Department of Applied Sciences was started in the year 2001. As a fundamental department, supporting all branches in I year of engineering, emphasis is laid on basics of Sciences and Engineering along with Humanities. Furthermore, it deals with applications of Basic Sciences in engineering discipline covering all the major domains of technology.
The Department of Civil Engineering in New Horizon College of Engineering was started in the year 2009 and it has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation(NBA) and offers Undergraduate program. The department has a total strength of 454 students, annual intake being 180 students.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering(Data science) at NHCE offers graduate programs. The Computer Science & Engineering (Data science) department strongly emphasises on learning fundamentals and analysing the latest technology to develop students’ creativity by encouraging them to take up projects with varying levels of complexity.
The world of Science and Technology is currently undergoing the fourth Industrial revolution (or Industry 4.0) as it is popularly known. The fourth industrial revolution entails the interconnection of cyber-physical devices in order to completely integrate digital networking systems with all physical devices capable of data communication, thus making it a very complex interdisciplinary branch of Engineering.

The field of electronics & communication engineering is one that offers a whole new world of exciting challenges and opportunities. EEE is one of the prestigious branches of Engineering and one among the oldest departments of NHCE-Bangalore started in 2001. The EEE Department has been playing a vital role in producing engineers and technologists of high caliber ever since it was established in the year 2001. The Department is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and accredited by NBA. The vision of EEE Department is to create contemporary Engineers, innovators and entrepreneurs to make a better nation and in turn, a better world. A critical investigation and innovation into the modern state-of-art and cutting edge technology lead to the fact that an electrical graduate fits better in today’s competitive world.
Information Science and Engineering department focuses on current Information Technology trends, and Domain Specific Applications. The program facilitates the evolution of skills in students to help them attain a higher degree of knowledge, global competency and excellence, for the betterment of the society. The Department of Information Science and Engineering at NHCE was established in the year of 2001 and offers graduate, post graduate and PhD programs. The four year B.E degree equip the students to meet day-to-day Technological advancements of the ever dynamic IT field through adept training on various subjects of curriculum of Information Science and engineering and beyond. The department offers B.E program through autonomous scheme from the year 2015 and intake increased to 180 students from the year 2019. The department has a very good team of highly qualified and talented faculty members including Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors.
Mechanical Engineering is perhaps the most diverse and versatile of the engineering disciplines. In addition to physics and mathematics, it encompasses key elements of aerospace, electrical, civil, chemical, materials science and bio-engineering. Mechanical engineering touches virtually every aspect of modern life, from mobile phones and biomedical devices to aircrafts and power plants. Mechanical engineers not only deal with engineering aspects, but also with economic issues, from the cost of a single component, to the economic impact of a manufacturing plant. Besides this, mechanical engineers can also be found in sales, engineering management, and corporate management. Versatility is another unique advantage in a world that is undergoing constant economic, political, industrial, and social change. Mechanical engineers are educated and positioned, not only to adapt, but to define and direct change.
The Master of Business Administration program at New Horizon College of Engineering is a two year full time autonomous program affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. It is a dual specialization program in the areas of marketing, finance, human resources, business analytics and operations. Students can choose any two areas, one as major and the other as minor.
